Hi Marcel - Feeling good. Finally I can see clearly without glasses OR contacts. They adjusted my shortsightedness and astimagtisme. I can read near and look far, no problem. Well, yes, I feel that way too about Bates glasses. But let's not break the poor guy's heart. I hope I am able to change his mind one day and get him to go for iLASIK too. My eyes are still healing so I need my eye drops every few hours.

Hi Maya,

How are you now after the iLASIK treatment?
Did they adjust your eyes only for seeing faraway and do you need now reading glasses or could they adjust for both?

As far as I know the Bates specs don't heel your eyes. It is true that when you look trhough a pinhole.you see much more clear. But when the pinhole is away, your eyes need their glasses again. I hope I don't take away Nic's dream,
:-)

Oh you can now get these pinhole glasses for RM5 at DAISO stores. Nic bought a few more pairs from DAISO at The Curve which work just as well as the RM80 pair. On the other hand, I've gone ahead and done my iLASIK. ;-)

Hi Licia: I can't tell you if adventist vision centre is the best place for ilasik. They are my clients so anything I say would be quite biased haha. But they're a friendly team and please speak to them - they will be most pleased to tell you more. I hope to go for ilasik soon once I get more settled in my new place and yes, have used up all my contact lens supply! ;-)

Hi, I have also been wearing contact lens for ages and was considering laser treatment when I was told about this pinholes glasses. Appreciate if you can give me your feedback on the effectiveness of this gadget. So far, any significant improvement on your eye-sight? Thanks.

Hi Sani: I've been using the specs for a while now, mostly at night when I watch TV. I've realized my vision has seemed to improve slightly! I must be honest here and say that my prescription is 4.5 per eye so I don't expect it to be lowered drastically. It is a gradual improvement or there goes my money down the drain. But Nic says, if we never try, we would not know. My idea is - if my vision does not really improve, I have a recourse. I can go get my eyes lasered at the Penang Adventist Vision Centre. But that's like laser eye surgery so I still have a bit of trepidation over that method. I can see better now if I take off my contacts. My eyes seem to adjust to light better too.
